Leah

Our team recently worked with a ten-year-old girl named Leah who had spent the past year in a local residential program. She was placed in the program after experiencing outbursts that often led to her running away. Recently, Leah was able to return to her aunt and uncle’s home and began work with our Community Based Services program. While COVID presented challenges with therapy sessions being held virtually, Leah and her aunt and uncle were open and willing to try new strategies. Now, Leah’s outbursts are less frequent and less intense. She has had no police contact or hospital stays since starting work with Tennyson last summer!
