Dear Tennyson Community,

With the arrival of summer, we are reflecting on a challenging year, particularly for vulnerable kids and families. We are enormously proud of the success, perseverance, and resilience we have witnessed from children, families, and staff. Thanks to the support of our community and the dedication of staff, many kids and families were able to continue their journeys of healing and growth.

However, the work is far from over. Currently, the children and families of Colorado are facing a mental health emergency. Hospitals and mental health agencies across Colorado are observing rising trauma acuity and increased need for services. At Tennyson, we are also witnessing this crisis with a higher demand for services.

Before the pandemic, many children and families were already working through behavioral and mental health challenges. Now, they face a new layer of complexity with even more difficulties after over a year of isolation.

Although we are facing a widespread crisis, we are facing it together. We have seen resilience and triumph over hardship time and again, and we know that together, with your support and dedication, anything is possible. We remain dedicated to serving the most vulnerable children and families of Colorado, and we are humbled by your continued support.

Thank you for standing up for kids and families this summer.
