2020 Denver Dinner
October 17 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This year, Tennyson, like so many other nonprofit organizations, is persevering through challenging times. This pandemic has been especially traumatic for children who live in households where abuse and neglect is even more prevalent. These kids are not being seen by mandatory reporters – like coaches, teachers, and doctors – and are often stuck under the same roof as their perpetrators during remote learning situations. Tennyson is leaning in to help Colorado’s most vulnerable kids who are experiencing more significant abuse and neglect during COVID-19.
Turning 18 was harder than I expected. I have more responsibilities, but I also have way more freedoms…For the first time in my life, I feel like I belong…For the first time ever, I have hope.
This year, instead of hosting an annual in-person gala, we are hosting Light Up the Night, a virtual fundraiser and celebration on the evening of October 17 at 7 p.m. (MT). During the event you’ll learn about some incredible new efforts that Tennyson is leading to prevent child neglect and abuse and support at-risk families, and hear about the incredible strength and resilience of those we serve and the staff who support them!
Thank you for your support! You are a light in the lives of children and families.
