Tennyson Center for Children Names Becca O’Brien Kuusinen as Board Chair

June 8, 2026 – Denver, CO – Today, Tennyson Center for Children (Tennyson Center) announces that Becca O’Brien Kuusinen has been named Board Chair of the Tennyson Center Board of Directors. Becca has served on Tennyson’s board as the Vice Chair and Program Committee Chair for the previous 3 years.

“I am honored to serve the Tennyson Center in this capacity. After my second child was unexpectedly stillborn, I felt called to direct time and energy to support at-risk families and children in memory of my daughter, and in honor of all living children who deserve the very best love and care from the adults around them.”

Along with being Board Chair at Tennyson Center, Kuusinen is the Global Client Capabilities Director for McKinsey’s Operations-Capital Excellence Practice.  McKinsey & Company is a global management consulting firm that partners with businesses, governments, and institutions to solve complex strategic and operational challenges. Prior to joining McKinsey, O’Brien Kuusinen worked as Executive Counsel to the Mayor of New Orleans and served as Director of Policy and Research for the Office of the Federal Coordinator for Gulf Coast Rebuilding. She has also worked at the US Department of State’s Office of the Legal Adviser and the Council on Foreign Relations. She earned her undergraduate degree at Yale, her master’s from the University of Cambridge as a Fulbright Scholar and her law degree from Harvard.

“We are grateful to welcome Becca’s generous and thoughtful leadership at this time of growth for Tennyson,” said CEO & President Mindy Watrous.

O’Brien Kuusinen replaces previous Board Chair Cameron Richards, who will now serve on the Tennyson Center Board of Directors as Immediate Past Chair.
