Remy Spreeuw

Remy Spreeuw has served in an executive leadership capacity for over twenty years in the Denver business community and non-profit sectors. Starling & Associates is a strategic advisor for businesses and nonprofits on creating solid roadmaps to achieve effective processes and high growth. Starling & Associates fully comprehends that collaborating across diverse teams is critical to setting the strategy and that the magic lies in knowing where and how to inspire talent – this is the key to bringing clarity to a vision and implementing a strong outcome-based plan. With a robust network across various sectors, Remy brings together great thinkers and proven operators to deliver optimal business outcomes.

Before Starling & Associates, Remy served as Publisher of 5280 Publishing, where she oversaw the evolution of 5280 as it became one of the most successful regional magazines and media brands in the United States. Leading the business wing of the media company, she was the driver for growth from six-digit to eight-digit top line revenue during her tenure. She built the company-wide strategic vision and managed the marketing/sales teams, coordinating content and audience development within operations and creating event-sponsorship channels. While leading the media group, Remy forged co-branded partnerships with local nonprofits, creating and coordinating numerous sponsored events and successful fundraising programs.

An effective team-builder, Remy has served as Board Chair of the Colorado Children’s Campaign and the City and Regional Magazine Association. Her past board affiliations include the Steering Committee of the Volunteers of America Western Fantasy, Board member of Roots Community School and the Tennyson Center for Children, Sponsorship Chair of Project Angel Heart Taste for Life, an inaugural member of the Empowerment Council–Women’s Foundation of Colorado. She was accepted into the Denver Chamber of Commerce Leadership Denver Class of 2012 and was recognized in the 2017 Folio Top Women in Media and included in the exclusive Denver Business Journal’s Forty Under 40. As a graduate of the University of North Texas, she is currently enrolled in the Harvard University Extension School, working toward a graduate certificate in nonprofit management. An enthusiastic home chef, she lives in Park Hill with her husband and two teens.
