Clinician – Residential & Day Services

Responsible for providing family, individual, and group therapy as well as case management and working with treatment teams.  Coordinates case services with referring agencies, collaborative contacts and school staff.  Works a Tuesday-Saturday schedule.  MSW or related graduate degree required; must be eligible for a provisional license and registered on DORA; licensure highly preferred (LCSW/LPC/LMFT). Must have strong family systems orientation and work from a trauma informed care and strengths-based approach.  All applicants must have a valid Colorado driver’s license. School Based Youth Treatment Counselors (2)

Works Monday-Friday 7:15-3:15 (includes some school breaks and holidays) year round position. One works with Middle/High School EBD students in the Language Arts classroom and the other position works with secondary Dual Diagnosed, lower cognitive students in the Life Skills Classroom. Seeking patient, high energy candidates with a passion to work and make a difference with challenging populations. Works within the Trauma informed Care framework. Ability to set firm but nurturing limits with children, think on your feet and de-escalate crisis situations. This candidate will be creative and fun and be a strong team player. BA degree in a Human Service related field OR equivalent experience required. Previous para experience or experience working in a residential or day treatment setting highly preferred. Bilingual Clinician - Community Based Services

Provides home based family therapy, individual therapy and case management services working collaboratively with both internal and external resources in the home, school and community.  Participates in the assessment with families, referral sources and admissions department.  MSW or related graduate degree required; licensure highly preferred.  Must be registered on DORA and eligible for a provisional license.  Bilingual required (English/Spanish). Family therapy skills and theory base required.  Works from a framework that incorporates a solution focus and strength-based approach and formalizes the use of community resources.  Works a Tuesday-Saturday schedule including  some evenings. Director of Marketing & Communications

Supports the mission of Tennyson Center for Children (TCC) by advancing the brand and corporate identity of the agency to donors, human services professionals and the community-at-large.  Responsible for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating all of the agency’s marketing, communications and public relations activities, both internal and external. Provides expertise and manages all media relations, advertising, and production of print marketing materials, brochures and publications. Works closely with agency leadership and other staff to provide appropriate tools and processes for effective communications and to support TCC’s fundraising, annual giving campaign, special events and programs to help attain goals and strengthen the agency’s relationships with constituents, donors and volunteers. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the not-for-profit sector.  BA degree in marketing, journalism, public relations or communications. Special Education Coordinator

Oversees the implementation of special education policies and procedures including October/December counts, assessment/child find, IEP development, outcome monitoring,  coordination with school districts, enrollment, contracting, records requests, PPOR and excess cost billing.  Coordinates with the Colorado Dept. of Education and AdvancED to ensure compliance with state requirements and standards, including monitoring visits and school improvement plans.  Assists and coordinates opportunities and experiences for the children ready for a less restrictive environment.  Assists in managing the on-grounds education program as part of the total treatment offered children and families. Provides supervision and programmatic support to assigned educational staff. Works the school year plus one week before and one week following  summer program. Master’s Degree in Special Education or Bachelor Degree with 5 years’ experience with IEP’s.  Must have a valid Colorado Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Special Education. Teaching experience with special needs populations and an understanding of educational issues desired. Clinical Director of Therapy Services

Support the vision, mission, goals and values of the agency by assuring a clear clinical focus and implementation of treatment of children and families in our campus-based programs. Provide overall management, leadership and supervision of clinical staff and clinical services provided through Residential and Day Services. Support a Trauma Informed Care environment. Responsible for clinical services, budgeting, clinical licensing, adherence to accreditation and regulations, and ensuring the implementation of best-practice interventions.  Member of  Management Team and Program Leadership Team. Support and implement TCC’s strategic plan. Masters of Social Work or a related graduate degree with licensure and seven years post-graduate work with experience treating families and children required.  Must have minimum of 3 years of management/supervisory experience. Special Education Teacher

Responsible for the development and implementation of educational/therapeutic services to meet the needs of primary aged children within a self-contained classroom.  Provides strong classroom management, authors IEP’s, participates in educational meetings and works closely with two classroom assistants.  Works the school year plus six weeks extended summer. Seeking candidates with previous experience working with young children who have experienced trauma; residential or day treatment teaching experience highly preferred.  Must have a valid Colorado teaching certificate with a Special Education Generalist endorsement (or ability to obtain). Supervising Clinician -  Residential

Responsible for supporting and building therapeutic milieu, group and individual programs for children in residential cottages in partnership with treatment team members. Provides the supervision of the direct care staff. Provides a minimum of five hours of direct client contact each week (billing when applicable) which may include carrying cases, providing weekly group and individual therapy to assist residents who are struggling behaviorally or are in crisis, and individual, group and family therapy when assigned clinician is out of the office. Collaborates with the treatment team to coordinate discharge planning to maintain stabilization. Licensure preferred but not required. Must be listed on DORA at time your resume is submitted. Must have three years experience with special needs, preferable EBD children, including supervisory and training skills. Knowledge of family systems theory and solution focused therapy needed. Requires strong organization and management skills, ability to handle crisis and make independent decisions. All applicants must have a valid Colorado drivers license. Clinician-Special Services Unit

Clinician responsible for providing family, individual and group therapy as well as clinical case management for high acuity clients (ages 5-18) in a short term stabilization unit. Facilitates intakes and admissions into the SSU, screens referral calls, coordinates treatment and discharge/aftercare planning, and coordinates med reviews with the consulting psychiatrist. Participates on the pager rotation as scheduled to provide on-call crisis consultation. Must be listed on DORA as a licensed clinician LCSW/LPC/LMFT. Will consider candidates that are eligible within 6 months. Must have a minimum of two years post graduate experience treating children and families, residential or inpatient experience highly preferred. Must have strong diagnostic skills and ability to problem solve in a crisis. Strong ability to multi-task required. All candidates must have a valid Colorado Driver’s license. Youth Treatment Counselors

Full-time positions that works throughout the residential campus as assigned to gain and share experience and skills with all milieus, developmental age groups (5-18) and teams. Responsible for implementing treatment and educational plans for children with multiple emotional/behavioral concerns in a structured environment.  Participates in the daily supervision and care of children in the cottage. Responsible for planning and implementing therapeutic activities and groups, behavior management and crisis intervention, and teaching basic daily living skills. Will provide a therapeutic balance of nurturance and limit setting demonstrating an understanding of the emotional needs of the children. Must be 21. BA in a Human Service related field or equivalent experience required; related residential and/or day treatment experience preferred.
